Man, I was just about to ask this same question. I had been tossing this up between my dad and I just today to see if we couldn't find someway to fab an edge bumper and valance and make it fit. Any info?

Great! Christian is counting on me to answer this question is he thinking? lol

The front frames of the 93-97 are compleatly different then the 98+ trucks (duh) I put a 2000 bumper on my 97 ranger (00 is the same mounting as the edge bumper as I said 98+ all the same).

now the way I did it really sucked, I just used the stock bumper bracket off the 97 and drilled a hole in it and bolted it on, only two bolts that where not on the greatest.

if I was to do it again, this is what I think I would do (I can't rememeber exactly how far apart the frames are or major details, but this will give you an idea maybe) Cut the front brackets off the 97, then have the frame rails in front there. Then I would cut the frame back a little, because IF I remember right the 97- frame bumper mounts stick out a hair father then the 98+. I would then get some good thick wall flat stock and weld that to the front of the frame, then drill some nice oversized holes, to give you room to adjust, and bolt the motha up. I would have to acutaly do it, but thats what I was going to do to my truck above, if I still had it.

that sounds like an idea from also what I was reading over at RPS. this really doesnt seem that bad the worst part i came up with is having to rehang another radiator support which isnt that bad just time consuming

you don't really have to swap the core support out, the worst part is you will need to cut the headlight holes bigger sicne they are now on the outside, insted of inside. the two middle brackets might be off a bit, but just get some off the newer modle truck, some self tappers and your set. Thats all I was going to do on my truck, because I am too lazy to take the core appart, knowing me after wasting time trying to make it work, I would have just did it right and added the new core lol

I know this is an old thread, but I have the same problem. a '96 Ranger and I want to put the front bumper and valance from an EDGE. Just wondering if there's been any progress.
