oznium turn signal mirrors

oznium turn signal mirrors
Got my oznium flex strips in today I had ordered up to place on the bottom of my side mirrors. I originally got the idea to install LED strips on them from Blackonblackfx4 but I wanted to try something a bit different Also I thought it would match my Recon "Line of fire" better.
I may be tempted to order some more Oznium strips for future mods. One idea I'm currently contemplating is placing some amber strips on the bottom rail or underneath my cab as running/turn signals.
Anyways the process wasn't that difficult..basically remove door panels..mirrors..then drill small hole in mirror..attach strip to it...run it through the mirror housing..into door...then back out rubber hose like gasket into the cab.
Few Picts:
Unfortunately I haven't gotten any further then temporarily running the wires into the cab..after dinner I was planing to continue my work until I was rudely interrupted by some odd & rare northern California weather....
Since I had my camera out i took a little video:
(in the background you can hear the fire department on my scanner)
YouTube - Roseville Lightning storm 6/03/2009
Tomorrow I just need to figure out where to hook the wires up, either back down the fender or some place under the driver and passenger side where I can tap into a wire(if avail). I would like to have the run all the time with my running lights then blink with the corresponding turn signal.

Yeah i saw that tut with pictures and I would much prefer to do it that way. However I was unsure if it would give me the same functionality as runing back down the fender to one of the bulb sockets in clear corners. Im looking for mine to function as both runing lights & blinking turn signals. Do yours fuction as both using the wires under the dash?
Now i just need to find some time to finish the mod. Im planing on posting a pict or two and a vid of the finished result.

yeah that was the unfortunate downside when i first got these before i cut them down to a shorter size to allow the mirrors to fold.

Finaly got them hooked up today from patching into the turn signal wires under the dash.
Left = LightGreen/Orange wire
Right = Orange/LightBlue wire
They work as both turn signals and hazard flashers. I wish they worked as running lights as well though :(
Anyways on to the picts:
As you can see my mirrors can now fold back and I have run the wiring through the mirror housing themselves.
Now I'm tempted to night-shade them a bit to hide the copper circuit board.
One thing i don't like about them is the amber/orange seems to be a bit different then normal turn signals and they aren't as bright as I expected them to be from oznium.
