driverside window weatherstriping...

hey anyone ever removed the driverside molding around the window? after I got my truck back I threw on my vent shades, but one of the got messed up so I wanted to take off both, but when I did I get a really loud wind noise that sounds like the top of the window, anyone know how to fix the wind noise?

Mine does the same thing. My truck had the in-channel vent visors in and I took them out because I want the ones that go along the outside.

It looks like LMC Truck sells new glass runs. $90 a side. The only thing that has kept me from buying them is it looks like you may have to take the door apart to get the front side all the way to the bottom of the door.

Mine make the noise, but I hate the look of the ones that mount over the paint, so i deal with the noise. My pass window can be cracked just a hair and the noise will go away. The drivers window arm needs to be tightened so I just ignore it or roll the window down all the way.

narrowed it down its coming from the top rear corner part feels like their is a lil bit too much room and its letting air through... so either I leave the visors or have bad wind noise... *sigh*

x2 w/ Trigger

Mine are raised up in the same spots due to the vent visors.

my was from the same driver side top rear corner. so i black sealant their along the channel and let it sat. i raised the window so that it would provide a tight hold until the sealant dried and walla. its done no wind noise.

What is this black sealant you speak of? Where did you put this black sealant? How long did you let it set before you rolled up the window?

this black sealant is weatherstipping sealant and you have to pull back the weatherstipping from the door and squeeze it inside the weatherstipping along the top edge and long part of the window. than you roll the window up for a tight fit until the sealant cures. it cures rather quickly; but im **** and let the window stay up for at least a hour. than all was good.

I was assuming it was black RTV but you know what they say when you assume.

x2 on the pics of where you put it. I thought it was coming in between the window and weather stripping.
