i would recommend replacing the entire striping.....you would be hard pressed to find an exact match because the dealership don't have that old of stripes anymore and the stripes on the cab will be faded...

Your local dealership would be the best bet if you want the same stock pinstrip. If you can redo the whole truck just go to AutoZone, eBay may have them too.

dealerships don't stock stripes that are that old........unless it is old stock.....i tried forever to find '96 STX stripes for my truck when i still had the STX stripes on it (before the silver) and they all told me that it would be extremely hard to find them because of their age....

I didn't think of that until I read you post. You posted as I was typing.

I was just doing some research on the net, If Ford has them they would probably be outragous in price. I guess Ill take a heat gun to the front stripes and see if they come off easily. Thanks for the replies.

Just remember that when you take the stripes off the cab you will be able to see where the stripes were so keep that in mind when you get new ones. A couple of coats of wax may take care of that though.

No Problem I might do a paint stripe down the side of some sort, still thinking about a pattern. Maybe 2 color with silver and red or pink to accent the maroon...just thinking out loud....lol

uhhh maybe your right ...lol I agree I definately dont like that. Actually I was thinking a wide silve stripe with just the top edge showing pink to add some color. Also painting the flares either silver to match the stripe or the maroon body color.

Actually I just did that, I peeled them off with very little trouble. Cleaned the glue and it looks pretty good.
Thanks John
