Painted grill

This is why I hate being at home bored out of my mind. I seen a black ranger on here with a black grill and I really liked it. So.......

Before.

Now I need to take my bumper valence off and paint it black.

Probably just the valence and see how it looks. I am not a fan of chrome so it will probably end up getting painted also.

I just found a pic from a member on here (2wdranger) with a black grill and bumper. His valence is still gray though.

What kind of paint did you use to do this? And did you really sand it or lightly sand it before hand?

There was alot of prep work involved. I sanded the chrome off the grill and then roughed the rest up. I used Dupont black for paint.

It's stunning.... well done indeed. The best reward is the satisfaction of doing it yourself.
