Somewhat clean truck and new 4x4 decals

I finally gave my truck somewhat of a half a**ed wash and Sonic04Edge told me to finally put the 4x4 emblems I had lying around on. I only took pictures of one side of the truck and the glare makes it look crooked but let me know what you think.

Yeah I think the grey matches the wheels well. Thankfully pictures don't show the ridiculous amount of scratches in my paint haha.

Do you have to run a front plate in IL? We do in MO, but leave mine off most of the time, it looks better

Yes front plate is required and people get pulled over all the time around here for not having one. I flipped the bracket upside down to keep some plate rigidity but still leave the front hitch accessible. Also, my front skid is off in the pics cause it almost fell off on me on the highway...

After I got my front hitch, I left the plate off and got pulled over. I told the officer that it broke and Ford doesn't make them anymore, and I'm still looking for one. Then he gave me a tint ticket lmao

Wow that's pretty lame. A buddy of mine for pulled over at 2 in the morning here and the cop measured his bumpers and then decided to give him a ticket for no mudflaps

have you thought about making one that fits into the hitch? just a metal plate w/a trailler piece attached behind. put that in the hitch w/a locking pin and only remove when needed.

eventually once i do that mod, that is my plan. as far as security goes, if someone is gonna steal my plate, they are just gonna remove the plate w/a screwdriver. regardless if it's bolted to a sheet of metal or in a plastic holder.

I thought about doing it that way but it is way easier having the plate up and out of the way. Otherwise I would have to take the plate out and put it somewhere everytime I needed to use the front hitch

I made this, and yea it gets annoying taking it out, but I like to easily be able to remove it

how often are you using the front hitch? also it's not that hard, just unlock pin and put the piece in the bed or in the cab. i could see if you were using the front hitch like twice a week. it would get annoying.

It's not hard to take out, but I take it out when I wash the truck or when I take pics. But I have had to pull debris and couple people out during the last snowstorms

I love having it this way though

Looks good. I'd throw the plate on the far left side of the dash, tucking it under the dash pad and under the pillar so it doesnt move. I ran mine like that since i got my front hitch welded
