I tried -EVERYTHING- in my truck to fix it.. I found its actually the seatbelts that are rattling, and I cant seem to fix it for the life of me!
I spent several hours pulling things out, moving things around.. then I unbolted the seatbelt from the door and the rattling went away - not sure whats wrong with it.. as my seatbelt works perfectly fine and its an aftermarket one I had to buy a while back due to an issue with my stock OEM one - it rattles the door like nuts when I turn my sub on

ok i think i have a fix for the issue if you look at the top and bottom of you door there is 2 rubber bumpstop things the one at the top is flat the one at the bottom is cone shapped if you swap them the rattle stops however the cone one is too long so heres what i need someone else with the problem to do
1.go to junk yard
2.get 2 of the cone shaped bump stop things one for each side from the bottom of a door
3.install it at the top of the door
4.close door
5.cut it down in small incrowments till the door is tight but not bulging out(you will see)
i would do this but dont have a jy to get them from if you try it let me know how it works

ok forget what i posted up to about a fix i found another solution
remove the rubber bumpstop thing in the middle of the door jab (attached to the cab not the door) then remove the bump stop on the bottom of the door put the one from the middle on the bottom and the one from the bottom in the middle
i did this tonight seams to have worked the one from the bottom of the door is slightly longer and keeps alittle more pressure on the door at the center where the latch is ill test it somemore tommorow
my trucks a single cab not sure if it would be the same for super cabs

I was going to try and buy new bumpstops to see if mine were just worn out. On my truck (97 regular cab) it also looks like the latch in the door at one time was coated in plastic and that is no longer present, not sure if that is why the rattles started all of a sudden. Mine is real bad when cornering and at certain speeds, sounds like someone is grabbing my door and shaking it when it isn't closed all the way. My lady gets freaked out and thinks the door is going to fly open.

Well, the rattle appears to be gone. But, the trade off is that I now have a bit of a whistling sound on the freeway, almost as if the larger bump stop in the center is preventing a tight seal of the door and therefore causing the wind to whistle through.

ive got an 08 and a few months after i BL'd it i started to notice a wierd noise coming from what seems like the rear drivers side door (supercab) at first i thought it could be a loose block from the BL, tightened everything and still have the noise.. so from there i ripped apart the drivers seatbelt and rear door.. everything seemed tight and still have the noise!!
as others have said i mainly hear it when going over bumps or pulling into a parking lot.. i seem to notice it the most when there is a little bit of articulation going on...
glad im not the only one out there!!
gonna try this bumpstop fix and see if that will cure it!!
keeping my fingers crossed!

50 Cent Door Fix
Both doors on my Ranger rattled, the passenger side was the worst, it sounded like my door was ajar whenever I hit a bump so I removed the rubber bushings from the top and bottom of the doors and went to the hardware store and bought solid rubber faucet washers. I bought 4 that were 3/16th of an inch thick and the same size as the face of the rubber bushings. I used weather strip adhesive to glue one to the face of each bushing. After drying for a while I popped them back in and it worked perfect. The fix only cost me fifty cents.
