Ranger Skid Plate on Explorer

I've got a 98 XLT Explorer, its been said the 98 Ranger front skid plate will bolt right up. I have my lower valance removed, I'm curious as to if I'll have the annoying gap I've seen people talk about.
Can anyone give any pictures of the Ranger skid plate?

the front SLA IFS skidplate? I am sure it will, it just bolts into holes in the frame and the frames. find one cheap on ebay, if it doesnt fit, sell it. little time but not much else to lose, IMO...

Yeah, the front IFS skidplate.. I'm 98% sure it'll bolt right up... but the issue is.. will there be a big retarded gap in between the top of the skid plate and the bumper since I have my lower valance removed.

I'm a member.

I can't find this skid plate anywhere in any junk yard, Ford had no idea what I was talking about... and when they finally found it..... I just can't justify $260 for it.

I'll figure it out though.

Thanks, I appreciate it. Maybe I'll find one someday.. or I might end up making a custom one. The factory one looks weak. But I'm sure it's light.
