Textured Grill Ok?

Ok so I'm buying all the parts for my front end tomorrow at certifit. I already have the 06 grill though but when I bought it I didnt realize it was textured and not smooth and I want to paint to match. So my question is should I just go ahead and just primer and paint the textured grille and it will look fine or should I go ahead and get the smooth one?

I would think it might look terrible if it were textured. IMO. If you can get a smooth one, I think it will look a lot cleaner, so I'd go with that.

If you could sand all the texture off of it, then maybe you could use a primer to kinda fill in the rough spots to make it look smooth, then paint over with the color matching paint. Lotta work, but if it's cheaper than buying a smooth grille, then maybe would be worth a shot. Might use a coarse(r) grit sand paper to start, then a fine grit paper to finish so it's not so rough. Never really sanded plastic... no idea how well it'll work.

well sanding it will be...certifit had none in stock and from what ive seen on sites, the smooth finished grilles are about $130-$150, and the texture is $50, so im definatley gonna sand it down

Does all new front end parts include the bumper? I have a certifit bumper and it seems to be made of pretty crappy metal. I get a lot of surface rust during the winter months.

Yeah the Certifit stuff is definitely not OEM quality. I didn't have any issues with rust on mine though, you guys probably get a lot more salt on the roads than we do.
