Textured Grill Ok?
Ok so I'm buying all the parts for my front end tomorrow at certifit. I already have the 06 grill though but when I bought it I didnt realize it was textured and not smooth and I want to paint to match. So my question is should I just go ahead and just primer and paint the textured grille and it will look fine or should I go ahead and get the smooth one?

i'll make another thread when its done. I have money for the parts now, but next check ill have money to have all of it painted, my powerdome needs to be painted too...
I guess I can do that, I just wanna make sure it looks right...I'll have to see tomorrow how much certifit has them for, their online catalog is down so i cant check online

If you could sand all the texture off of it, then maybe you could use a primer to kinda fill in the rough spots to make it look smooth, then paint over with the color matching paint. Lotta work, but if it's cheaper than buying a smooth grille, then maybe would be worth a shot. Might use a coarse(r) grit sand paper to start, then a fine grit paper to finish so it's not so rough. Never really sanded plastic... no idea how well it'll work.
