Icon5 Projector headlight retrofit question

Can anyone tell me which setup would fit in my 2011 Ranger headlights with the least amount of cutting involved? I've been looking at the Morimoto Mini H1 and D2S projectors. I originally thought the H1 would require the least amount of modifications, but others say the D2S fits easier.

i have the h1's and there is a sufficient amount of cutting, im pretty sure the only difference is the bulbs between the d2s and h1, i forget. anyways i never got mine finished up but it is on my list to do, i had them integrated at one point but took them out after i put them in and saw how off alignment they were, you couldnt tell from looking straight on at the projectors but the beam pattern was horribly off and bothersome, its a big project for sure if you wanna do it right.

Do the mini d2s.

I just ordered them and they are sitting at my house.

The mini d2s is smaller and less work to install than the mini h1. The mini d2s is about a good half inch shorter than mini h1.

I just got a set of headlights to begin working on last night. Which shrouds did you end up deciding on? I'm debating between the Apollo and Gatling gun 2.0

I got the normal gatling gun shrouds... I liket he looks of them. They are larger and will fill the headlights quite nice. I saw one other picture and I like them. The projector will sit back further in that housing which I like. I do like the apollo shrouds but chose the gatling because I think it will go well with the stock chrome headlights.

Gatling gun:

I will keeping my headlights stock chrome most likely though, only because I have other chrome things like corner lights, wheels, and mirrors..etc. If I was going for a black out theme I would do things differently.

I am going to paint he inside of the shield probably red though so that when you look at the projector it will have a red affect when no light is shining through. Strictly cosmetic.

Apollo:

We'll see, worst comes to worst I get new shrouds but I think the gatling guns are good for this project.

I am running the e36's on my STi with s2k projectors.

Hep, bringing this back from life.
Im on the retrofit source website; what are the projectors options, o lens and x lens?
BI-xenon: Morimoto Mini D2S 3.0 - HID Projectors from The Retrofit Source

Also, other than the above website, you guys have trusted places to get a full retrofit
