why??!! foreign auto companies are better than american hands down. the foreign auto manufactures are stronger and in better financial standings then the american companies simply because they make better products!!(except for trucks) however i still support the american companies because i live here and want to see our economy flourish

when i had my honda i had a decal of the guy peeing on the letters "jdm" ... for those of you unfamiliar there are countless idiots who rather than do decent mods would pay ridicilous prices for stock **** from japan then put it on their us market cars and act like it was the coolest thing ever

Oh and I would rather have a foreign car than a chevy or dodge POS. I would have rather bought a new Ford Fusion Sport instead of the Subaru but the idiots at Ford won't sell the 3.5L V6 with a manual trans. I absolutely cannot stand how domestic car companies are making it impossible to get manual transmissions these days.

Sad thing is, alot of "foreign" cars are built here in the states, supporting our economy, while alot of "american" car companies outsource. I love my Volkswagens. Hell, alittle more than my truck. Not much, but still more.
Quit the ignorance.
edit: yeah, oxymoron with the flag over there <-- But it's a southern thing. lol

im really tired of hearing "foreign cars are built better" when i have NEVER had a problem with any of the cars i have owned. my parents, friends, and relatives have never had problems with their fords and chevs... because we drive them like it should be drivin, and not treat it like a piece of trash. there's a lady down the street from me that owns a honda and everytime she pulls out of the driveway you can hear the engine whinin because she floors it to accelerate at every damn stoplight. until i own a car that has problems im stickin to ford, chev, and dodge. theres absolutely nothing wrong with these brands.

on 94+ integras for example .... you can get an aftermarket jdm front end for around 800 or so .... but people will buy the stock **** off a wrecked car from over there and spend 2000+

LOL children.
My family also owns both and we get more problems from the Domestic stuff. They don't make them like they used to. Yes we do take care of our vehicles as well. Take my Ranger for instance. Every year it needed a clutch and it leaked from everywhere. Yeah it never left me stranded but almost a few times. I believe that there are better built and better designed trucks out there sometimes. For a mid sized truck I'd rather have a Tacoma or Frontier. For a full size I'll take a Sierra. But then again I'm not brand loyal and I'd drive anything regardless of where it comes from as long as it looks good, fits my needs and runs well.
So someone flooring a Honda makes Import cars bad? LOL

I haven't had a problem with that and I have 145,000 miles on my engine.
Cars are built better now than they used to be, when is the last time your car died driving through a shallow puddle. Look at the safety differences from now and the 70's. Some old cars did get good fuel mileage but they had no power. Keep in mind the Ranger hasn't changed much since '98.
I have a conspiracy theory about the Toyota floormat problem. I believe that it is a cover up for for Drive by Wire System bugs. I prefer cabled throttles myself.

My buddy Mike has had no problems with his 06 Taco. No problems with my 2010 Taco and my truck is part of the recall. No problems with any Toyotas at work. Most manufactures are switching to throttle by wire. Vetts back in the day had major problems when they first switched to throttle by wire back in the day. My Dad's friend died that way.
