Grill Guard and Body Lifts

So I put a 3" Body Life on my 2004 Ranger and love it. I am considering getting a grill guard but my concern is that the lift will cause the guard to sit much to low relative to the body and make it look funny. Any one else had this problem or found a fix for it?

You can modify the mounts to fit a body lifted truck.

Do you have to get custom brackets/metal plates/block or does it work ok with the provided equipment?

You could hack up the stock mounting brackets to make them work but otherwise I would just make custom brackets.

You will probably have to go completely custom for your mounts and/or mount relocation.
Everybody is different on how they would make their mounts.
For sure you will probably have to cut some (maybe 3 inches) off of your grille guard. Then use the mounts that's you cut off for a template to make new mounts.

Post up plenty of questions if you have any.

I modified mine after i put a body lift on. I cut off the part on the grill guard that came up because it was about 3 inches tall and i welded plates onto the back and drilled new holes. You can see in the pictures what im talking about. the first one is before i started and then the last two are after it was modded.

Thanks for the Pics Zach. Ill go ahead an order the guard. I worked at an aerospace machine shop this summer so I can use the mills and make some real quality brackets since I can't weld.
