some painting help / questions

well when i got my tuck about a year ago it had a primered passanger from fender but 2 months ago i crashed my truck and took out the passanger door so now the passenger side looks like crap and with a totaly diffrent color bed i have been wanting to paint it but my truck had a sticker-stripe down the side which i was going to get rid of but it would look stupid if i pealed it off which is not easy.
this was my plan, to paint the cab myself i already did the bondo work and have my dads friend paint the bed since its got a couple of dents in the crease which i already tried to do but didn't go too well . but if i did the cab that would mean taking out the windows and a lot of masking off or should i just keep the windows in and mask off the gasket since the truck is black .
and all i would have to do is sand down past the clear coat then paint it and how many coats since I'm keeping it the same color? ?
and how long would the whole this take 3 days?
