Icon6 Spare Tire Carrier

Well, i was lookin for a way to hold the spare tire in the bed of my truck... Well i found two that i like.

one is the rat cage brand:

http://www.truckcandy.com/TC/RatCage/RatCage.htm

and the other is a tailgate carrier:

http://www.truckcandy.com/TC/TireGate/TireGate.htm

i like the second one the best, but they are almost 900 bucks.. any one got any ideas where i can find one fore cheaper? or something like it?

Fabtech makes one, which isn't too expensive, I've seen them around 100$, and I think truckinsuspension also has one and it's around 80$ I think. I got tired of high price's so I made my own.

Does anyone have plans to build a carrier? A pic of one that you built? I am thinking about building one and any help would be great.

have people post them in here for all to see.. i'll start. Mines a regular old angled spare carrier. its from ORI, but im not sure they are around anymore. its in my avy pic, but heres some more. I put it as far back as i could go with a 35" spare and close the tailgate. so if you have a smaller spare you could go even further back or forward to the cab to keep space in the bed.
