STX Grille

After about 4 hours of searching the internet, I finally decided to see what advice you guys had. I have the 2010 Ranger XLT with the chrome H-bar grille. I threw some polished billet inserts in the grille and it looked pretty sharp. At the time I just wanted to do something that stood out, but now I'm looking at more function than flash.

What I'm getting at is this: I want to swap the H-bar for the STX. It looks way better and it'll allow me to install offroad lights behind the grille (looking at some 6" KC's)

I can't find this grille online for sale at all. The closest I found was the STX/Sport surround with the honeycomb grille. The one that is similar to the H-bar, but without the horizontal bars, ya know. This one will be my last resort since it has the function I want... But I really want that wide open STX grille with the black horizontal bars :D

Help?!?

(sorry if you guys have posted about finding this grille, before. I search the forum and nothing came up on actually finding the STX grill)

You can buy stx grille from ford I believe. Maybe also certifit? Might be good to also look in a junkyard. Also I believe anything bigger than a 60w offroad light has the potential to melt your grille

Shipping isn't a huge issue. I'm in Germany because it's where the US Army wanted me, lol. They provide every one stationed outside of the states with a post office box that has a US address. Anything I buy with be shipped to New York and then from there to me is free.

Anyway, $400 ($379.28 US on the Ford Parts website) is pretty steep for a grille. Certifit had nothing for any year when I checked earlier and again just now.

As far as grilles melting, I hadn't hear of it, but it is something I'll look into. Thanks for the heads up on that. The lights I am looking at are 130W.

Any other suggestions? I really appreciate it, guys.

I have the stx grill. Got the insert from a buddy on here. I haven\'t had any problems with lights behind the grill and I\'m running 100w. Grill doesn\'t even get hot. As for getting the grill your only options are ford or find somebody willing to sell theirs. They still go for well over 100 bucks here on the forum though.

Hey Vista, I was actually admiring your truck. I had this idea of putting the grille and lights together and then I stumbled upon the pictures of your truck in the gallery. My Ranger is Vista blue, 4.0L, 4X4... I'll have to get some pics up soon.

I mentioned earlier I had found the sport grille with the chrome surround and black mesh, same as what Vista4.0 has in his gallery. It was going for like 30 bucks, plus another 20 for shipping. I figure it's worth the shot. At least then, I'll be half way there, lol.

That actually how mine started. I had the h bar grill then got the 04-05 sport grill which is that mesh one.

I guess I'm following in your footsteps on this one. So you will be able to tell me if the Sport grill is a direct bolt on? (say yes, say yes, lol)
