tonneau decision

alright, im looking at tonneaus and ive found 2 i like, one is oem ford, and the other is extang

the extang is a snap style
but the ford one is well im not sure how to put it, he described as how the grooves on ziploc bags work, thats how it attatches...which one would be better, i mean going down the road at 80mph, are ziploc bags connections going to stay on my truck?

i have the one with grooves like i think you're talking about. I like it a whole lot, it seems easier than snapping all those snaps, you just run your hand down one side, then the other (the second side is a little hard sometimes when its cold), then push a rod down and you're good to go.

I meant that besides the velcro sided ones all the rest have cold weather problems
clips or the channel models (zip lock...lol..) get hard and become difficult to fasten
plus they are fixed and when the cover stretches need real adjustment
the velcro sides can be pulled tighter (adjusted) each time you put it on
I have an Access LTD - the cross bars just roll up with the top, no seperate storage
it is tight as a drum and has had over two feet of snow on it without sagging
works great in all weather
I am on the road with the company lap top so no pictures or links but you can just search for an Access tonneau

I have the snapless Full Tilt by extang. I like the clean look of snapless and it's served me thus far without any real problem. I recommend it. My unit cost me a little over $300 shipped.

I have an Extang roll up and it's been holding up great. I love the velcro for the reasons Neil listed.
