body parts interchangeablily?

ok as you all know my truck got hit while it was parked in the parking lot at college. well i need a few things now to fix my truck.

1. i need a bed. What year beds will fit my truck? my truck is a 94 4.0 ext cab short bed. what years can i put on it and i don't want a step side bed i need the little bit of extra room for hauling firewood.

2. i need a drivers door my window is retarded and worn out. the gear for the window the teeth are worn off so when i get the window all but about a half inch closed it stops going up and i have to push it up by hand. so what year doors will fit my truck.

i cant think of anything else right now but if i do i will add to it.

Thanks guys

Power windows? If so, it's a regulator that has a nylon gear that wears out and strips out. $15 or so bucks from an auto parts store. Mine's worn out as well, and does the same thing

93- 97 should fit not shure when the door panels change in them so you might have to use the hard ware that bolts your door panel up

Beds should be practically interchangeable, because they are all pretty much still the same with maybe some subtle styling changes. Hell, the stamps on the drivers fender still have the damn second gas tank filler upper thingy majigger.

Obviously 93-97 is going to be the optimum choice for you.

Pro Tip #1:

Part interchangability usually works well with the same generation of models and trims with little to no modification.

Now time for a worth while interchange question.

What is needed to complete a Ford to Mazda or vice versa front end swap? Bed is a straight swap obviously. I imagine all of the front end has to be changed which is simple, but does the header panel need to be swapped too?

If I ever got around to it,I'd like to put an 02 Ranger front clip on my Mazda and swap my Mazda bed for a step side yet keep all the Mazda badging just to freak people out.

I'm not sure about the header panel but probably. Fenders, grille, bumper, valance, lights, maybe header panel. Ask edge_wannabe about it, he did it.
