while i was at work yesterday dismantling a 2001 ford explorer sport trac equipped with power rear window and sun roof. the gears got to turning when i noticed the ranger like shape of the rear window. does anyone know if the rear windows will interchange and if the sun roof will fit in a ranger?

 

No, on the rear window

You can install a sunroof in a Ranger but not sure a powered one would have room to retract, maybe on extended cab

i see people on the sites installing explorer parts on rangers (as i have done myself) all the time. and when i was stripping that sport trac the wheels got to turning mainly out of curiosity. im guessing you have tried the rear window?

 

Sport trac window is not as tall as Rangers, you can tell just from look at pictures but I have read about it as well
