rhino vs line x?

i just had an estimate done for both...
Rhino Liner 245 + 45 for over the rails for hard line and the other stuff is 350 plus 45 for otr....me being military they knock off 30 bones

Line X 545+ tax and knock off 30 for me being cool

Is there THAT big a difference? wtf? I always though rhino was better??

That's definetly too much for the Line-X. However, in my opinion, the Line-X is a better product. BUNCHES of trucks around here have the various spray in liners, and nobody that saved a few bucks on the Rhino's is happy with them after 3 or 4 years. My Line-X still looks like the day it was sprayed in.

Well, if you want an opinion from someone who loads alot of stuff by hand and with different types of Forklifts (I work at Lowes)...

I prefer the Rhino becuase it looks alot better for alot longer and if anyhting happens to it at all, they will fix it for free (or at least they should). Although the only messed up coat of Rhino I've seen was on my friend's rock sliders when he came back from Tellico ORV...lol.

Line-X color fades really fast and a black coat will soon look gray. BUT, if you load alot of stuff in the bed of your truck like pallets of extremely heavy items, I'd go with the Line-X. Stuff like that slides alot easier on the Line-X.

BTW, once more, I've never seen any bed coating ripped/pealed ever...

my line-x has lifetime guarantee. If I ever damage it I just take it to a shop and they fix it. I believe it ran me either $319 or $419 for me to line-x my bed. I'd have to find the receipt. I need to get to bed though. I'll look up receipt if I have time before work in 7.5 hours.

Oh, re: line-x fade....

tire brush + dawn dish soap + elbow grease + water = like new. I will admit though, I do have some fade, but for the longest time my truck was always parked in direct sun and I live in the desert southwest. Only way the sun's getting more intense is if I move to the Sahara.

EDIT:
I lied.....

Small truck under rail - $330
retail over rail - $60
Shop supplies - $0.90
Sale Tax-gross receipts (5.8125%) - $22.67

total: $413.57

Random thought while I can't get to sleep: I wonder what it would run to get the lower body panels line-x'd? Hmmm, might have to do that after I pay off the CC next month.

I think D did his himself, and it looks fine to me, a little on the hard side, but it works. Personally id do it myself and save $400.

Line-X! Rhino does have a lifetime warranty, but only from the shop that applied it. Line-X has a NATIONWIDE warranty.
