Look what I got my hands on!

Well after many months of searching, I finally found the holy grail of grilles....

The best part was, it only cost me $60!

I still need to paint the surround black, but I am debating whether or not to get it professionally done because my spray painting prep skills are apparently lacking when I painted my other grille black...

I said I would post pics of it earlier so here it is... I think I may sell it once the new one is on (so I am also checking interest in it here)

I would get it painted professionally. You will still come out ahead.

I had similar success in finding a red '08 grille for my silver '10 Sport. Seeing as how you live in Alberta (I did for 20 years) head for a Canadian Tire and go to the Dupli Color isle. I used the "Perfect Match" line, primer, colour and clear. After a lot of prep work to sand and mask the grille and two days of nasty paint fume headaches (I should have used a respirator instead of a mask) the grille looks factory. Other than the obvious meticulous prep work, the secret to rattle can success is to let it cure. I kept mine inside to cure for three weeks before I installed it.
