if chrome is done right, it looks good, i like my chrome, all i got is the bumpers and kc's chrome and it looks alright, but no more chrome going on.

Some punk kids, like me, think chrome is for old people....and we prefer the all paint thing. That's just my way of looking at it.[/QUOTE]

If it makes any difference...uh.....my 71 chevy has chrome everywhere. But then again...everything is real chrome and who really thinks a monochromatic 71 chevy stepside looks good? lol.

BTW, Ford does still use "real" chrome from the factory. Now the cheap replacement parts the body shop puts on, thats a different story.

On Mazdas, they call having everything painted "Monochromatic" and it's a no-cost option on the B-series. I've got chrome and I love it. It's just personal preference.

I think it really depends on the color. Like peopel said DSG and chrome don't look to hot but black or yellow like your chebby look awesome.

I think crome is really ugly on the smaller trucks, looks good on a fullsize. I like my matching bumpers and flares (I just don't like how the flares discolored)

sometime i wish i had the chrome bumper, but thats the only change i'ld make on my edge. i think the mono colour is best.

i need to get my machined wheel replaced with black steelies and rock the blacked out look

Ford had, and still has, this whole "monochromatic" themes going on with certain trim levels.....EDGE came out as a "sport" pkg, much like the Sport, much like the Splash. Some punk kids, like me, think chrome is for old people....and we prefer the all paint thing. That's just my way of looking at it.
sorry, i don't know what the hell i was thinking. upper front is painted, lower is grey textured. rear's painted.

What exactly is DSG I keep hearing it? I must be old school then cause I like trucks with shiny bumpers ha ha ha.

DSG = dark shadow gray, otherwise known as the ugliest paint color the ranger comes with.

Oh ok mine's red and I can't stand it. Wish I had gotten it with a more subtle color. Truck stands out in the woods like a signal flare.

Yea...the most common color abbreviations i see are DSG and DWB. DSG has been already answered....DWB is Deep Wedgewood Blue.

I love the chrome, and DSG is my favoite color... so, to each his own...but you know what they say, opinons are like ***holes... everybodys got one. I'm looking now to replace my front painted bumper with a chrome one.

That's all I want to do is put the chrome bumpers on and I really like that front grille on your truck but too much money for somethin that ain't broke.
