Window tinting
#28
In the pic I have 28% (FL limit) on the sides and double 5 on the back.
My Final plans for the truck (years off) after the motor swap and lift and tires is to murder it with double 5 in the rear, 5 on the sides and 20 on the front. But I live in FL...we actually know how to tint windows here.

that quote is pretty fair if they're gonna strip the old tint to do it right. I ran 5% on the back and sides and 30% on the front sides of my wagon, and I got hassled by the law dogs, but no tickets. The quotes for that car was around $300-$400 because of the glass area, so I just did it myself.

I paid 180 for 5% all around. I had a car done with legal tint. They told me the law in FL. is 20% in the rear and 35% up front. The 35% was so light that it almost wasnt worth having it put on, but it wasnt my car so oh well. The percentage of the tint is only a gauge of how dark it is. Its not the % of light coming through. 5% tint only blocks 60% of the light. I bought a box of 5% tint to double my windsheild strip and it says it blocks 60% of light.

I think CA law lets you have 20% on the front 2 windows and 5% on the rear. A CHP, and PD told me that 20% is legal on the front 2, since I always got pulled over in my old car with 5% all the way around. But that was 3 years ago and I never know what they hell kinda of law CA is going to come up with next!
