WINDSHIELD SUN STRIP HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

so i've been tinting my windows today and i had also gotten a sun strip to put on the windshield i put it up with tape and both my parents keep saying its illegal and it obstructs my vision. i was wondering how far down it should actually go or maybe its fine idk. anybody with a sun strip tell me how far down it goes and if its in your line of sight. pics would be great.

usually on the side of the glass toward the top is a mark, look for a line in the glass or something, you cant go below that. im not sure about a ranger but i have seen it on other cars.

tell your parents that you are allowed (legally) to tint your front window 6 inches below the top edge of the window.

According to the IWFA(International Window Film Association) LA legal Windshield limit is to the AS1 line, and nothing Darker than 40% on the Front sides.

I would not even mess with the windows!!! Just rip off the old tint and take it to a professional..If you were closer I would say come to my shop...It takes me an 1 1/2 hours to do two side windows and a sun strip. To pull both windows would be a huge pain in the A$$ and not needed. Trust me

yeah i realized that so i said screw it and went ahead and tinted it. this time i got a card and pushed down the water and soap that kept coming up and making spikes at the bottom of the window. its the best on yet except for the little pinch right in the middle of the window. i made it a little smaller though so its not as noticable. how would you get that out?

if its creased there is no way. You will either have to start over or live with it for now.

A buddy of mine who works at a tint shop does it for $10, some places might charge $20

If you want to take the window out to tint it it is not hard. Most vehicle all you do is take offthe door panel and you will see the bottom of the glass sitting in the scissor lift mechanism. The window is usually only held in place by two small bolts and they pull out

They are actually usually riveted in, and you have to drill them out and either replace the rivets, or replace them with bolts that will work in function with the mechanism's of the door.

HELL NO...I would absolutely not remove the windows...There is no need to. A good Tinter can do the job just fine with the Windows in. 01RangerEdge is right for $10-20 a shop will throw the Strip on...
