Drove an 08 F150 today, whoa
So after hauling some gravel, I gave the ranger a rest and helped one of my friends move in her new house.
Her dad let her use his 08 F150 I guess Lariat, It's the highest trim package, but its a 2x4
She let me drive it around, whoa, what a difference. It rides very smooth (not as smooth as I expected). The accelerates really well (that took getting used to)
Built in satellite radio, wood grain, leather seats, carept, it was like being in a cadillac.
Prolly shouldn't have drove it, now I want one

I really don't need another truck right now. The Ranger is paid off, my 77 F150 is a great truck, and I'm just now finishing my 77 F250.
Maybe after college when I have a steady, good paying job, I'll consider it.
I'm planning on getting at least one 73-79 truck (hopefully crew cab)

Anytime I need more, I've got two other trucks, plus access to my dad's 99 F250 7.3

I have 2 trucks with solid axle, and my dad's 99 is solid axle. I appreciate my ranger's ride

Eh. My Ranger rides better now than it did with the IFS. The frontend on my F350 also rides better than the Ranger did with IFS.

My 77 F250 has the heavy duty springs. I don't know if my dad's superduty does. I would think so.
x2 for the most part. just gotta soften up the rear but that was an issue with my old leaf pack too haha less body roll is nice though.
i couldnt be happier with my F-150 lariat. i still cant get over how nice it rides and drives compared to my ranger. i didnt need another truck either but now im glad i bought it though i was able to keep my ranger too so i get the best of both worlds.
I don't think the frame is actually any different.
But you do have a stronger leaf spring, 10.25 rear axle and bastardized 7 lugs.
