sweet, do yourself a big favor and remove those nail on weights asap. my dads first alcoas got really bad from the weights, i rebalanced them with stick ons, be very careful to use low pro stick ons or they will hit the caliper

what happened to his tires/rims?

 

the weights are lead, and the wheels are aluminum so they form corrosion inbetween and take the clear off the rims, it is called galvanic action

 

^^Yes fix it now, I just got new tires mounted and the corrosion from the weights was not good.

I heard somewhere there is this powder they put in tires in Europe, that when you drive it sticks to the parts inside the tire where it balances the whole thing. Dunno if this is permanent or not.

I do essentially the same thing at work when we do tires. I dont know if you want to do it on a passenger tire, but it works wonders on truck tires, like 11r's or some 275/70/22.5's. Its just 10 grams of sand.

i gotta agree with Shane on this one. ive stuffed my 33x12.50's more than that when i flex mine. that seed60 guy or whatever his name is has a pic of his truck with his back tire like a foot off the ground. sorry man but u can do waaay better, i would but i dont wanna tear my fiberglass bedside to ****

lol i was spinning all the tires trying to get it higher, as far as flexing goes, the truck won't flex any more, i could get that one tire higher, of course

i remember someone, zabeard? was talking about these beads in the tires that ballence them... maybe i'll look into that...

but the truck and wheel/tires looks great!

 

get them to put all the weights on the back side of the wheel

 

the truck will only flex as much as the suspension will let it, and seeing as the tires came off the ground, there is no more flex possible...

you can't put all the weights on the back side, as the tires are balanced on 2 axis... the machine will tell you where to put the weights, how much on the inside, and how much on the outside...



i was thinking about it, as far as putting the sticky weights on the inner side of the rim, making sure to get the right ones so they don't hit the caliper, who cares if it takes the finish off on the inside?
