So I finally found a full length expo center console. The console is still in the car, so I will have to get it out myself.

Does anyone have any advice on getting it out. Where to start? Hidden screws? I can't imagine it will terribly hard, just wanted all the advice I can get.

just start unscrewing lol, when it comes to taking it out you have to kinda lift up and pull back. have fun!

 

I figured it was that easy, but I've never looked at one close to see where all the screws are

 

Same here until i got mine lol. make sure you unplug all the wires and stuff connected to the heater fan. also cut the wire for the power jack and leave enough to rewire.

 

Were there two different gray consoles in Expo's?

I called the guy and he said it was light gray. I'm not sure that will look good in my interior

Mines a different color gray. looks fine to me.

 

You'll have to slide it back then pull it up. It has 2 tabs on the back that slide underneath the floor.

 

What should I offer for his grey leather buckets? the drivers side has a couple tears

I'm prolly gonna try to get all the expo parts I can, hopefully I can talk him down if I buy more

 

I would try 75 if it has a couple tears. I would grab the OHC, mirror and visors if it has all those too.

 

The whole thing is untouched, so I'm gonna grab everything I can, visors, auto mirror, bezel.

Well I called the guy back, he said the leather buckets have no tears, and they're power. He said the creases made it look like tears.

He said he'd like $100, should I talk him down?

I bet if I get a lot of parts, he will come down on the price anyway

 

Thats not a bad price if they're in pretty good condition.
