No you cannot. I do believe I looked into this a year ago. They do have a 2.5 and 3.0 Powerstroke I think there. The guy on here from Costa Rica I think said he has a 2.8, so more research needed there. But the emission and taxes are such a bear it is not worth the cost and hassle.

hmmm thats really unfortunate ... and as far as emissions... I live in Florida... we know no emissions laws! haha and I bet they get good MPGs???

So why not bring em over here since theres this big push for high mileage vehicles by 2016?

It isn't a FL thing, b/c I too live in FL. It is an EPA/federal thing...much bigger deal.

I checked with the local BMV here in Indiana and they said I could bring one in from Mexico and license it here. Might be different from one state to the next., that or I got the dumbass on duty at the time LOL.

when you bring a car from another country its considered a "grey market import" ..... a lot of times if you can swing it its possible to have the dmv title it as an xcab for example.

Heck, I live so close to mexico as it is. I dont think it would be that hard to get one and bring it back. I would so rock that PSD in it!

bringing it back isnt the problem

title and registration is.

the only other way i can think to get around this is in california the law for bringing a car in from another state if youre a resident, a stipulation is if your car gets stolen / wrecked while out of state and you need to replace it

you would think they would allow you to bring a vehicle from mexico if you were deep in the interior and your vehicle got messed up
