Alright, on 13th of March which is Saturday, there will be a small meet heading to the Wilson Creek/Linville WSM. I will be the one in charge, because I know all the local places to go. Bring your trucks, and whoever you want.

We will do some optional hiking if everyone is in, I know a few great waterfalls and beautiful overlooks for everyone to see. ALSO if ya'll want to grill then we can arrange that. Theres a great little spot to grill beside the river.

Trails aren't bad on the trucks, mostly all gravel/dirt roads.

Just post yay or nay for grilling and hiking.

Yeah its right around that area. I stay up in Banner Elk and its only about a 45 minute drive down to Wilson Creek

Count me in for 2; I'm bringing my gf too. I say yes for hiking and for grilling!

Yeah Dustin where do you want to meet at? That one visitor center we were supposed to meet at that one time should work.

 

I'll have 2 friends coming with me as well. Is there a grille there already or is someone bringing one? I can bring food or drinks too.

 

Yeah there is one or two small grills at the area i want to grill at...I think it would be best to meet off an exit somewhere, because One can easily get lost up there....I say we should meet at Walmart on 321 North in Granite Falls...That would be a good place..

I can bring some hot dogs and drinks and charcoal.
If someone has a grill, it might not be a bad idea to bring it.

 

Hum, that adds an extra 45 minutes to my drive since I'm coming from the opposite direction. It would be a lot easier if I could just meet you at the visitor center. Now you guys can surely meet out there, I just don't want to spend all that extra gas lol

That is not the way I go. I go 321 North to the morganton exit on the right. Stay straight the whole way to Highway 18, then take a left and go a few miles turn right on Hartland road. Go a ways till you come to a sharp cure in the right and RUDISAL'S store is one the right, bear a sharp right and pass the store, stay straight and end up on PLAYMORE BEACH RD (gravel road). Ride that to Brown mountain Beach.
Stay straight the whole way till you end up crossing Highway 90, go right accross the road and thats Brown Mountain beach RD.


If anyone coming from the east WANTS to meet up and follow me I'll be glad to show the way....Anyone intrested should PM their number and let me know...

Awesome, that time should be perfect. Looks like it might be a bit rainy, hopefully that clears up before hand. If not oh well, it will still be a good time.
