Hey guys. So a buddy of mine at work today came up to me and told me that he blew his engine coming home from Newfoundland. For those of you who dont know from the base here in New Brunswick to Newfoundland is about 18-19 hrs door step to door step.

Anyway he took his 3.0 ranger in to the garage and had them look at it because she was making a weird noise and was really sluggish. Come to find out he lost most of his oil and blew it all to hell.


My question is as follows. He does not care if he has a 3 or 4 ltr in his truck. Can he run the stock tranny from the 3.0 with a 4.0.

Were can he get a half decent motor for something that wont break the bank.

Also his ranger is a 06

should be able to find an engine at a wrecking yard. most offer some sort of garenty or warenty. as for the small details of how i do not know.
