Will a dirty MAF sensor throw a check engin light i havent pulled the codes for the check engin light though just wondering? And how does that work were you take off the battery cable and and turn the head lights on and off how does that work..?

 

could but with out the codes ya realy dont know where to start looking at get the code and let us know what it is. yes takeing the battery term off will reset the comp but the code is probley going to come back.

I believe if you go to an autozone you can get codes scanned free of charge.
