I bought the block on jegs.com, and yeah I highly doubt that you will find this block on a junkyard. I don't want to be rude but I have done everything you can think of to the engine look at the pictures that i posted If you have knowledge about engines you'll see that the internals are forged, heads are not stock ect ect... |

| Anything but stock. I highly doubt there are any Ford production parts in that engine at all. The block is from Ford Racing, but has never been used in production. |

| boost the 3.0? ya i hear you man, but so does anyone know about just straight up turbo charging the 3.0? that was another possibility, but it'd be good to hear from someone that's done it just to get some words of wisdom. but it didn't seem to be TOO difficult, of course on paper everything is easy. but i know ford makes a turbo kit for the probe, and that's the same engine, but i think the exhaust manifolds and bolt patters are different. but anybody else know or have any advise? just can't live with the little 3.0- too underpowered and just not sure what to do yet, either v8 or boost it. |

| The 3.0s don't like boost. You would like it, lol, but it wouldn't. The head gaskets blow out on them. Thats why a lot of people with the Whipples have removed them. If you do boost it though, I would highly recommend swapping out head bolts for stronger ARP bolts or studs. |
