'93-'96 Ranger front axles

I've been looking for a 1996 or older ranger and noticed a lot of '93-'96 rangers have front axles like these:

So my question is, did they come from the facotry with those big front axles, are those SFA's (or just big), and what is the name of the axle (are they Dana's or somethin else)?

those are refered to as the TTB (twin traction beam) axle and depending on the year its either a dana 28 or dana 35. most of the late model ones are dana 35's though. its much different than the 98+ dana 35 IFS axle/ suspension
