Let it effin' SNOW!
I'm sorry, but I have to voice my opinion, and say that those really can't do all that much justice being studded. tires are beefy as is, and studs that small and that little stud count doesn't seem like it would do much.
The studs make a huge difference on ice. Just rolling them around in my garage, with just the weight of the tire/wheel, they tear up the concrete. Imagine the weight of the truck on top of ice will do. It is overkill for my area, but when we do get snow and ice, my abs brakes will hardly be used, and me and my wife will get to work without question. Other than chains (which you can't drive fast or on dry pavement for very long) what could be better on ice?

265 duratracs on stock wheels. The studs should be great in the snow and ice.
Really, dry or wet, they are sharp now, but they will get dull. Mainly when you 'turn them', they really grind into the floor. Thats why alot of areas they are outlawed, they tear up the roads. They are made of carbide and the tire shop says the studs will last as long as the tread does.
i live in wv, and i've been to martinsburg in the winter...i wouldn't even want to put studs on my tires if i lived at snowshoe, and i'm up there a lot...
have you really ever had a time when the studs are what got you down the road?? because i haven't.
and i'm glad they will be destroying the roads that are already in disrepair across the state.
