Aux input in Console

Hopefully someone can answer this to save me pulling my console for no reason if it won't work... I have an '07 LII with the Pioneer stereo and it has the AUX input beside the two cupholders on the console.

What kind of hole does the AUX input fit in? I want to take it out and relocate it to the glovebox or below the armrest so I can put the switch for my Hella's in that hole. I'm hoping it's just a round hole to make it simple because I don't want to cut or hack anything up!

Thanks!

hey, mines down where the airbag use to be... I took it apart and your right all it is is a round hole, the thing pops out from the back... so you'll probably have to go under the console to pull it out

Perfect, thanks! I didn't want to pull the whole console to find out it wasn't going to work.

Do you think it's big enough to mount a round rocker style switch in? It looks like it needs about a 5/8" diameter hole.

yes it is big enough for a rocker switch. I have one where my aux plug used to be.

had to widen the hole a tad so my rocker would actually snap in but even after that the aux cable piece still fits if i wanted to put it back.
