Icon4 Bumper plans

I am going to be doing some wheeling here in the next couple of weeks and i need a new bumper. I want to make one so i am wondering if anyone has any plans that work good.

Idk , like most my projects I never have plan or make any you just kinda wing'it. I say just get the plate,tube etc and start going off yer ideas or pictures you like. It will come to you as you build.

Honestly, I just got bored and wanted a bumper. I had no plans, just pictures of road armor and trailready bumpers as a guideline. I looked at how they were engineered, their similarities of stress points, so forth. It really is not hard at all, just take your time and get some plywood to make a template. Once you have the bumper off just take some rough measurements of width, depth, how far the frame mounts you want it, and height. From that point, just tweak and modifiy as you go until you have it where you want it.
Once that is done and you have your 1/8 or 3/16 plate ( i used both) transcribe the face measurements first, cut that out and bend it up. After that is just a matter of keeping it square and filling it in with plate. Use big peices if you can as it makes your finishing a hell of a lot easier.

I had already talked to them about a bumper for my girls ranger. They claim they are indestructible and if they get a dent or bent they replace the bumper for free. However they are about a grand. well for me it was cause i could walk right in and pick one up out of their shop with no shipping charges.
