What's he going to do with these now?!

There's one other person that knows what these are and where they're going..

Next weekend I'm pulling something off, modifying it and adding these, then repainting it with undercoating and putting it back on.....

Here's my teaser... A how to on what I'm doing will follow in about a week.

4-3/16 long
1-15/16 wide
1 inch thick...

Hmmmmmm

They are going on the rear... That's correct.

But they're not going in the bumper... :-) Keeping the factory look out back.

^^^ Mmmmhmmm....

Should be pretty cool... What do you think Shane?

I found more 1in plate at school so if you want the same size inserts cut, I can cut them... I had fun using our track burner at school tonight for like an hour.

Ended up making these inserts longer than I originally planned after seeing one done. It was too short for me. First ones were 3-5/8in long... Wasn't enough metal left for my liking once the hole would have been drilled so I sprung for some 4-3/16in long pieces and that eased my mind a bit. lol

He plans on lowering it more. It's a unique twist to a mod not many do. NOBODY will have a lowered hitch. He'll be the first I do believe.

Wait...trepaul....are these hitch skid plates?

It's not done but this was all I felt like working on today. It's getting more reinforcement tomorrow and should be done and re painted by thursday. Those shackle mounts I made are going in the sq tube tomorrow. Slotting both sides and they'll slide through. Welded from the front and along the back and ground smooth with 3/8in plate for reinforcement of the sq tube as well as a place for back up light mounts.

That's what you think eh? there was a 3/32nd root opening and welded front and back side for full penetration. Dual shield .045 with 75/25 gas. Trust me, it'll be plenty strong. That's all I was able to do in the 3 hours I had today.
