cage

ok im tossing around the idea of an exo but they shift alot so im trying to come up with ways to do a cage on the inside of the cab. anyone ever seen it done on a ranger? more specifically, my model??

any pics/help would be great!

any thought yall might have on running it behind the dash would be awesome too. i pulled the dash apart and started looking at it and man is it going to be challenging...

there's another desert truck that was on here with an interior cage.

I'm gonna do an exo, and have an X come down through the cab, along with a tube across behind the seats for the harness's to tie into.

I'm doing the exo simply cause there's not enough room inside a ranger to start with, stuff it with 1 3/4" tubing and your gonna be even more cramped. plus i wouldn't wheel w/o a helmet if i did that.

yea austin is the one thats talkin me out of it....

i want to do an exo and i was thinking of doing the x through the cab and floor behind the seats too. wasnt 100% on whether or not it would work. seems like good logic to me.

this is similar to what id do. not as choppy but basic concept. i would put a bar in the middle of the windshield going straight up to support it a bit also.

ruff stuff sells the tube thats already bent to go along the bottom of the windshield, maybe the top too.

take a look at ShoNuff88's thread, he's got a sick setup, the tube goes behind the fenders and its done in a way so the back doors still open, something i may sacrifice.
