I need to dip some chrome...
I was thinking when everything is done on my front bumper and my rear bumper is done fabbed, I want to chrome them. Any ideas? I just think the chrome set off the front and back. I kinda miss it now. It'll stick to the XLT look too.
Also, where the hell would I take this stuff to get chromed? I haven't even started to look into yet.

chroming would be an expensive process and if aftermarket bumper most likely impossible.
You can get rims chromed, so it might be possible. But there are different chrome processes for different metals.
You can buy chrome aluminum fakey paint from any store for a few bucks or they do sell chrome paint for about 450 a pint.

I just a TV show about how custom parts are chromed. If you want something that is going to endure rust and damage, then the chrome process is going to be very very expensive. The prep process for doing something like that is a lot more work then I ever thought. Plus, a good plater will use muliple dips in different metals to achieve rust protection and high reflectivity. I was awed by the amount of work involved. It's no wonder that cheap chrome rusts so quickly, a good plate job is serious work.
