Concrete garage floor with a couple 2x4's or whatever scrap wood I have lying around.
Or I just weld on the car/truck/object I am trying to get metal to stick to.

I know that is totaly usless to you but that's how into it I am right now..

If you want to make one that will last, make the table top out of 1/2 inch steel. You want this much to help dissapate the heat. As well it will prevent the table top itself from warping. When this happends you are never going to be able to weld something tight and square. The rest just like a normal table.

If I post the ones we have at work they will put you all to shame... we have one that is a couple thousand pounds haha

make sure you have enough supports under the table to keep it from warping. Warpige is no good
