98 Ranger flareside fiberglass repair
98 Ranger flareside fiberglass repair
while in California with my son, something backed into my ranger's driver's side bed side panel just behind the gas filler door. I'll post a picture tomorrow.
My question is if I need to remove the bed to repair the fiber glass?
There is a liner inside the wheel well which when removed may expose the underside. I don't have the money to have a shop do this repair and if I do it, it will look like I did it.
But, it shouldn't be as ugly as it is now.
I have watched a few videos on fiber glass repair. A buddy may have the cutting wheel and grinder needed to prepare the cracks. If I cut the cracks, will the remaining pieces return to their normal shape? Should I try to have all the new fiberglass on the inside and use bondo on the outside?
This is when I would like a good friend who owns or works at a body shop.
Thanks for your help.
