This one's a 14" drop. I built another one when making this one at work, in my free time. The other is 12" of drop total. 2" solid stock on the insert, 3/4"x3" wide flat bar with a 3/8" gusset across the back side. Welded at 27v with my Miller 251 and 95/5% argon. Triple pass spray transfer on the stock to the flat bar on both. If I break this, I need a bigger truck to haul things with haha. Think it turned out pretty well :-).....

The 14" one has to be a good... 25lbs? Roughly. It's heavy. Lol

Yeah man, no tube on this hitch. All solid stock and bar!

Haha exactly! Its extra protection for the rear if someone forgets to stop :-)... Likely it would mess up their vehicle before hurting mine lol

I saw the post and was like "NO WAY JOSE!"
that hitch reminds me of a farm girl, beefy and could stop a car if she really tried.

Are the slots in the back to allow for a link back to the frame? added strength?

Well they ate actually mount pads for a Buckstop bumper that I cut to fit as a gusset. They have the slots for positioning the bumper on the rig it goes on, but yeah that's plan is to use them as a bracket for hitch supports should such a heavy occasion arise lol.

You should see the looks people give me with it on. That and the fact I haven't painted it yet and its been raining, so its got that raw steel look goin for it haha
