Step bar ideas/tips?

Well...

The truck has a decent stance as you can tell.. and I want to put some sort of step bars on it, especially for women to climb in. The ex gf was about the only one that didnt have a terrible time climbing up in. But my mom and a couple lady friends have sure had trouble getting in.

Besides, I have considered doing something to be able to fit 35's...

I plan on having SOMEBODY bend some tube for me.., but I need to come up with a design first.

I don't have a preference whether they are individual steps for the front and rear doors, or if they are long step bars, although I think the longer bars might just be easier in general

Feel free to photoshop that pic,..

I know...... I'm missing a center cap.

Lmao, I'll have to get the tape out and see if 78" will be long enough for both doors...

Ive always liked those tube side steps that are basically one bar all the way across, then a step under each door and just in front of the reat tire for the truck bed.
like so:

Id do the main pieces out of square and then put round on the outside. I did something similar on Chads Jeep.

With something that long id make sure to use some heavy stuff because you wont want it flexing and such.

I can bend you up something but that big you will need to come out over here and we can do it in a day.

My thoughts exactly. I was planning on PMing you, but wanted to decide exactly what I wanted first.

YOu are right though, I thought some square for the supports, etc would be the best route.

I figured when I figured it out, then I could drive the truck over, and put them on too!

Pics of Chad's sliders?

Lol I was searching and JUST found that thread, and came back to this one to post those same pics.

I like that, but I'm wondering about maybe having them angle downward instead of up..

Which ever way you want. I was just showing the square and round tube, that is how i would do yours, if it were mine. :)

I can do all round though too. Id prefer weld on but I can do bolt on its just a big pain and its time consuming.

Ok cool. Yeah, I dont mind that combination at all. Lol

I can't decide which I'd like better, if it was one long step or 2 individual steps..

We need a photoshop master to join the convo

I would do something like this since your looking for more of a step than a slider

Meh, thats ok Zach. I was leaning towards the first ones anyways, I think they look better and they would be more functional.

Do you think I should have the upper tube run from wheel to wheel or just cab length?
