A question about Rob's bumper...

Hey everyone, I am going to a local muffler shop to see if they can make me a bumper similar to Robs, but I was wondering does anyone kow what size tubing that is where the light tabs mount to? Also what kind of tubing is it? Or if anyone has any preference on what to use for this?

I bought 1-3/4 inch tubing in a 14 gauge i beleive with seams. I beleive thats generally the steel of choice unless you decide to drop real cash and get cro-mo.

i never said that you said he needed it.

i agree, yes chromolly is the best you can get, but it will be no different than the cheeper mild steel for his application

Well thanks, but I found a shop that will do it for me. I printed out every pic I had of Robs truck w/ the bumper & they said that they could make it, so they are supposed to call me Monday or so & tell me what the price & all is gonna be...

$100,000,000

i think my truck would just look god awful without a bumper, and just the steel tube....

i hate the frame showing and etc...now if you could attach skidplates to cover everything up...hell yeah!

1.5" tube 0.120 wall will be just fine as well. THat is what I made both of my bumpers out of and they have held their own in two different accidents.
