Flatbed project for a 1972 chevy
well my friends old bed was all crappy and dented so he decided he wanted a flatbed.
and thats where i came in. My room mate just bought a bad *** welder so we figured we'd put it to good use right away.
here is the bed i made for him... exactly to his specs, i would have it different if it were for myself but i am happy with how it came out.
still to do on it.
-more supports across the bed
-angle iron on the front and back of the boards to hold them down
-paint the metal and varnish the wood
-lift the back of the truck an inch and the front 2-3 inches
i am going to start fabbing some parts like sliders and bumpers for sale... and i am even considering to attempt to make a flatbed kit for our trucks... all bolt on, granted it will be very different than this one.
anyways, i will get some more pictures when its all done, but i just wanted to share what i have done so far. let me know what you think!
