Rock sliders

I started some rock sliders for my truck. I got one side almost done and mocked up.

How areyou installing them?

bolt on or weld

I'm gonna weld them on. There will be 1/4 plate welded on each post then the plate will be welded to the frame. I will also be putting gussets on top of the posts between the plate and the post.

Sounds good, ya I still cant make up my mind if I them welded on.

Yeah I made the one. It's 1 3/4" .120 wall round tube. I gotta find some time to build the other one, and get them mounted and painted.

Looks good. You can apply bedliner paint for a tough finish.

Fast forward from 2011 to 2016. I've got three kids and the truck has got no love. Here is a couple pics of one slider painted and tacked on.
