Started My Bowfishing Deck/Platform... (edit: finished)
#53
i take it out by myself...
and zach, the generator is not too loud. you can talk at a normal level on the deck to the person next to you.
if i was wealthy, i'd have a little honda generator. thing is, they cost 2 to 3x's as much as a regular generator... i'd have to get a honda generator in 2000w which would make me have to move to an HPS light to get the kind of coverage i want. they are very heavy lights, but put out more light for the wattage they draw...
overall i like my setup alot. i plan on adding a different muffler one day and building a three sided box around the generator to direct the noise towards the back...
the fish do not care about generator noise. all the fancy bowfishermen have airboats or fan boats and they scare less fish, because they disrupt the water less... even though their props are making a ton of noise and they've got loud generators too...
my trolling motor makes a little more affect on the fish, but for the most part gar, carp, catfish, buffalow, bowfin, etc... do not care about the generator noise at all... and they don't care about the trolling motor one bit.
