getting metal for a few things today
to build a bumper, just not 100% sure on the way i want to make it (back bumper) also might get tubing for rock sliders.
got a buddy that is a great welder and knows a bit about making lifts. he said to decide how i want him to make a lift and he will do it. so what would be the best way for that? making spindles? dropping the control arms? info and pics would help. btw im looking to just make a bout 2-3 more inches. i searched it but didnt see much
thanks

i agree making a lift can be unsafe for sure. but this guys knows his stuff. were gonna see what we can do and if it just dont look good or seem right it wont go on the truck. safety is some thing we have talked about. he made his lift and its held up great but we'll see about doing mine. bumpers and sliders would come 1st anyway

if you were going to MAKE your own spindles you'd have to cast them and then machine them. Does your buddy have a full machine shop? Does he have the capability to copy your spindle and then modify it?
If you want to solid axle your truck and THEN make some sort of homebrew lift for it that's one thing, but there's no way you're going to be able to make a homebrew IFS lift that would be remotely safe.

Spindles would be funny if you made those. lol
But if you make new UCA's and LCA's and then that would push the spindle out and then if you made the LCA's so that they hung down farther allow a larger coil to fit in its place you would gain lift. It would be easy to gain a lot of lift with custom LCA's and UCA's but its all with what you want to do.
