Greg, my dad is loving your car and had me looking on the net for one, LOL. If you don't mind me asking how much do they usually run?

Jacob, honestly, I don't know. I had a guy offer me 15K for mine, but its amazingly clean, not a scratch or ding and pretty low miles. I would think you could find something pretty nice in the 10-11K range but could spend on up to over 20,000 that some people pull.

Your dad obviously has very good taste. lol.

Buddy of mine blew his on 10lbs :( but he got a 331 on Low compression and has a T-Trim vortec now on 18lbs.

Hes going to sell it and get a procharger and hit for 24lbs. He's got a 95 GT.
10 psi shouldn't come near hurting the blower. The only way to really kill it would be flog the snot out of it until it gets so hot it welds itself together, or run way too much belt tension and kill the bearings. V2 S-trim should be good for 60,000 rpm or 13ish PSI, whichever comes first.

18psi is crazy. Not pump gas compatible, thats for sure.

Procharger @ 24 psi on a 5-6L motor built to withstand that much power is easily 900+ hp stuff. I assume hes building a drag car?

Greg that is one beautiful car you got an awesome find. Take care of it and keep it. It'll be a collectors item down the road being that it was the last year of the cobra to have the 5.0 in it.

Thanks. Yea, I plan on keeping it and tinkering with it more. Kind of an on-going hot rod project. It'll end up with a bigger compressor on it to make more boost to make more power, lol..

Does it have forged internals? I have seen alot of cobras (not your year or motor) running ALOT of boost.

No. The 5L in the 93-95 Cobras do not have forged internals. The only major thing the Cobra had over the GT was the GT40 heads, and a better intake manifold. This motor as it sits should be good for 10psi and around 550 WHP ... We plan on pulling the motor out at the end of summer, and tearing it down. 347 stroker, low (8:1) compression, forged rods and pistons and then upgrade to a T-trim compressor and boost 14-15 psi on pump gas. Thats still some months off however, but the piggy bank is being filled as of now.. Me and my dad both agree 650-700 RWHP is a niiice number.. lol..
