Kyle I had the explorer express kit on my truck, worked awesome. It was a blast to drive to, that whine was unreal. Ah i miss it.

Anyway the kit is just under 5000 if im not mistaken. (power is just under an extra 100hp) assuming you have the appropriate mods.

you will spend way more than that on a turbo setup, think about it.

also performance doesnt come cheap.

For 5K I think I would rather build a nice V8, especially if you're only gonna gain 100HP with the 4.0

5 grand is not worth 100hp. not even close. it does look like very well made kit though... maybe i should be the first to try the new 5.0L? lol

well if i wanted to drop that engine in my ranger i think it would be more on the beard level of modified so it would be much more worthy of such awesomeness

Said this in another thread, look for a new mustang v-6 304 hp and cram it in . would be awesome i think ,and from what i am learning, may be the most practical way to build a sleeper truck-that kicks --butt.

Good luck making it 4wd. And who wants electric steering. Personally you all are fools. 5k for 100hp 100% bolt on is cheap. Look at my current project. Over 10k for 400hp swap in a ranger. Any engine swap in a ranger is $$$$

I am a truck and coach mechanic... I think I may go turbo as I have a lot more experience with them. I can get parts very cheap through my work and can get all the tubing I need for intercooler piping and bigger exhaust for free!! All scrap cutoffs and stuff like that... I have not made up my mind yet though, I got things to fix first

beard, i'm guessing you just cant throw a s/c on and tune it a little. even if you put new pistons and internals in, what is the block rated for?

400hp if that? But I don't understand what you're getting at.
