i had a s/c, easy motor to build power with, but a mother f to work on, the 5.0 is a far better option. altho if you need a ported m-90, i could sell ya mine.

Yeah the 5.0 is something that is a little easier but it has been done before I guess I like the challenge and to be different. The question was is how hard is it to do? Has anyone in here done it?

Why is this a useless thread TrePaul86 who are you to judge? If you know nothing about it why would you even check it out and say anything.

Your title says "SC 3.8 swap"

Your body says "SC"

How do you expect to get any help/results from something as generic as that...

Who says I know nothing about it? Better watch how you talk to people. No one will help you at that rate, if they eventually find out what question you are asking.

Go ahead and change your tampon and ask a real question.

Ford also had their 3.8. The SOHC 4.0 v6 replaced it in the Mustang and it was the v6 used in the T-Bird.

i wouldnt mind dropping in a SC'd GM 3.8 into one of these trucks. torquey bastards.
even when my grand prix was stock, i could leave 30 ft of rubber by mashing the gas.

Since everyone here is being a bit immature and not helping, ill throw my 2 cents in... I was exploring my options about getting my 3.0L POS engine out of my bay and replace it with something more fitting. 3.0 super charge that, swap a 3.8 SC motor from a thunderbird in OR get a 5.0 from an explorer(easist option since its all bolt in)..... Heres a link to help you out!!!

It's not that I'm not helping, it's that he didn't really ask or say anything in his first post. Left it totally broad.

Well I appologize but for some reason when I went to post it wouldn't let me enter all the text that I was originaly going to. I thought you were basically saying that my idea was useless but anyways because of me and my brother being in TCCOA I have a motor, trans, and ECU lined up but I was curious to see if anyone here had done it of had info. The link that was posted was helpfull I had seen it before but I was just wondering if there was anymore info on it. I know the 5.0 is pretty easy but it has been done and a done by many people I want people to scratch there head and think wow I didn't know you could do that and also have a fun fast daily driver because the SC 3.8 out of a supercoupe is forged already so some freshing up and it will be ready to go and still able to be daily driven.
